Today, for my CC Week 1, while my husband is up on Mt Hood and I'm stuck here at home, car-less, this is what I prepared - Vermicelli with Stir-fry chicken.
The noodles were boiled in plain water but could have been tastier if boiled in chicken broth...next time :) I wish I could say that I got the recipe from a fancy Asian recipe book but no, I can't, because I got it from the back of this Korean Teriyaki Stir-Fry Sauce.
Last Saturday, we made a last-minute decision to decorate the house. First, we picked the tree, a 6-feet full Fir from Furrow Farm in our neighbor city Helvetia. It's the same city were the Roloff farm is.

Then we did a marathon shopping for ornaments. Luckily, most of the Christmas decorations were already on sale. Sunday, before church, Jay trimmed it and then we put up the tree, added the lights and the red and gold balls. It looked alright but it's missing the most important ornament.

So on Monday night, we visited some shops again and found the perfect Tala.
